How does the look back feature work?
The look back feature works automatically with no interaction from the admin except to determine the look back period time for the course. Your learner gradebooks are set to allow automatic credit for modules previously completed in another course or at another institution. As the admin you can decide the time frame in which credit will be excepted.
Example : Your institution decides the look back period will be two years. This means learners will receive credit it new courses for modules completed with in the past two years from the date that they enroll in the course. In order for the learner's to receive credit the module must be exactly the same and be identified by the same module ID number.
You can set different look back periods for you different courses. You can also opted out of using this feature and not allow credit for previously completed work. To change this simply email citisupport@med.miami.edu and request the look back period to be changed. Make sure to be specific in which gradebooks the look back feature will apply to in your changes.
